Do you actually mean from a floppy disk as in a 3.5 inch, 1.44 MB capacity floppy?  You must be using a Sony Mavica.  If so, simply use Copy>Paste in windows explorer.  Left click on the A:\ drive, select the images you want, go up to the Edit menu item, left click that and then choose Copy.  Left click on the folder on your hard drive where you want the images to go, then click the Edit menu item and choose Paste.  You can also do the same operation using right clicks.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements and it works fine for me.  In fact, I probably only use about 15% of all the stuff in Elements.  I own a Sony Mavica, which is horribly outdated, uses a 3.5 inch floppy for image storeage, but still works.  But I have also purchased a Canon Powershot A620 which is an outstanding camera.

User,  Thanks for your quick reply.   Yes I do use the Sony Mavica.  Has been a good camera for me, but time to get another I think.  As I said in above post, they have to be easy to use as I get so frustrated to think a material item is smarter than I .  LOL   Corel came with my computer, but I have not upgraded to use the full package yet. The initial package is strange enough.  I downloaded Adobe and only have their trial period also.  IT is not easy for me.  So many things to do.   I had a nice program before I got my new computer that was in my visioneer paperport program and that was easy.    Cannot use it with this one though.  Hope to hear from some others on here also.  Give me a choice...  thanks     Jean

You might want to take a look at Picassa.  It's free and very easy to use.

i use AGFA photowise - it came with a camera i bought years ago. it's simple, and does what i need it to do (simple photo editing).
i agree with 97502; canon cameras are fantastic (that 620 is nice) - i use a power shot 400.

I use Google Picasa. It's free and it only took about 10 minutes to download. I really like it. I didn't expect to get a lot of features for a free program...

I don't like Picassa because you can't view your photos full screen or if you can I can't figure out how. I use FastStone Image Viewer. I find it the best program for photos.
