What program to make my own "Image restore" ?

I want to make an image restore file which works like the "Dell Factory Image Restore", but I want to make it after I install my usual programs.  So when spyware etc. winds up on my computer I can format it, and restore it without losing all my progams, shortcuts, etc.  I use a full Internet Security Package, but it still happens.

Is Norton Ghost what I am looking for?  I have read mixed reviews, are there any others, better?

Thanks

And ShadowProtect is even better !!! :smileyvery-happy:

Just kidding - Acronis True Image and Shadow Protect Desktop are both very good products.

ShadowProtect?

Never heard of them ... but Thanx Rebel....

Since I am running VMware, that video gave me an idea.

I'm using Acronis True Image V11 on my Vista machines and it works without problems.  I've restored the hard drive on my desktop twice with True Image backups because of my messing around trying different things because of customer PC problems.  In both cases I lucked out as I had 1 day old full backups.

Thanks for your answer, but even more important, thanks for your service to your country.

May God watch over you and see you home safe.

My nephew got back about 3 months ago, just in time to see his daughter born.  It doesn't get any better than that!
