Could be your hard drive is failing. Run CHKDSK  /R and reboot to allow it to run and correct any errors.

You may also want to download the disk utility for your particular HDD from the manufacturer's website and run it. Often times they are more accurate at finding issues that Windows' built in utility does not. You can also right click My Computer and go to Manage. Open the Event Viewer and check for error messages related to your HDD.
