Why Do I See “Chrome Did Not Shut Down Correctly” Error Message Each Time I Open Chrome After Restart?

My Google Chrome browser shows the message “Restore pages Chrome didn’t shut down correctly” every time I restart on my Dell Inspiron 15 5590. After clicking on the “restore pages” option, the previously opened pages do not come back; please tell me any way to solve this problem.

This is not a dell support question.

You will have to ask google

How do I make Google Chrome shut down correctly?

  1. Try an alternative browser to avoid crashes
  2. Reset Google Chrome
  3. Edit the Default Folder Title
  4. Edit the Preferences File
  5. Disable the Continue Running Background Apps option

Thank you for the information. But I was able to solve the issue following the steps here. I mistakenly thought it to be a dell issue since I am using a Dell laptop.
