Since just about anything that modifies the boot sector makes MediaDirect unusable, probably not. Running the MediaDirect repair utility would then probably make Vista unbootable.
I installed Vista Business and then repaired MediaDirect using the utility. Now my computer will not boot not Vista (or any operating system installed on the hard drive - I think there is a problem with the master boot record - but I am not sure). My advice to you is to backup before you attempt to repair MediaDirect, and only repair MediaDirect if you have time to reinstall Vista (and any other operating systems) if something terribly wrong happens.
