will reinstall problem effect a clean install?

i just recently reinstalled xp pro and had a few problems. there were 150 - 200 notices of missing files (all written down if it will provide extra help. I got through it and now i want to clean install because the missing files have made a bunch of problems in the os itself. If i reinstall clean will these files still be missing or will it go through with no problems. Please help as soon as possible, i really need it. Would a new install disk from dell help at all or is it a currupt system?
