Win XP on Inspiron 7500

Has anyone installed Win XP on an Inspiron 7500 and had the touchpad work as it should. We have tried many drivers and can't get it working properly.

When you use the Drivers & Utilities (Resource)  CD , then select  Input Drivers , Synaptics Touchpad does the info on the right show OS XP. ?

Also you should have the latest DELL BIOS for your Computer.

OK , you could try downloading the Synaptics Touchpad Driver for Inspiron 8000 , which supports XP.
http://support.dell.com/FileLib/Format.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&Category=17&OS=WW1&OSL=EN&SvcTag=&SysID=INS_PNT_P3CG_8000&DeviceID=283&Type=&ReleaseID=R58470

as the same Driver is used for several Computer Systems , check Systems at bottom.
