Win XP pro 64: SHOULD I, or SHOULDN'T I?

Question

Just got my Dimension 9100 820 today!!!   BIG QUESTION!   Should I install Win XP Pro 64, or not?!!!   I was going to try it, but when I heard that there is little support for drivers I am starting to get cold feet and don't want to waste hours and hours installing and frickin' with drivers.   Is the 64 version really that much faster than the regular one?   -Nathan

Depends on what king of software you run mostly.  Video\audio\photo editing is faster under x64.  Some games are starting to come out written for x64.  Outside of that there is little difference.  Look first to see if your drivers are available.  Start with Dell to see if they've released the chipset drivers for your machine and then go on to your non-Dell equipment to make sure you're covered before you even buy the OS.

I wouldn't get Windows 64. There's really no point unless you want to completely erase all of your drivers and such. Even then, it dosen't help a whole lot.
