Win XP SP2 installshield issues

I am trying to install nokia PC suite and everytime I do I get a message the installshield was interrupted please reinstall your system was not modified. I just keep getting the message. I also get this message when I tried to install cuteFTP which also uses installshield. Is there some way to install this program other than uninstalling SP2 as was suggested to be by someone else (I don't want to cause more problems on my system). Without this software I can not manage my phone on my computer.
My computer is a Dell Latitude D600.

I have tried installing this software on computer with identical software at work except service pack 2 (it is running SP1) and the software is fine.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated is it driving me nuts that I cannot install this program.

Have a look at these Knowledge Base articles to see if they are of relivance.
I take it that the Nokia PC Suite has Bluetooth Technology, so these may be of assistance.
It is also possible to upgrade the InstallShield software, but if you have SP2 i'd imaging you have the lasest version.

Hi SP2WizKid I checked out the info you said but none of it helped. I have sent an email to microsoft support in the hopes that they might be able to help or have spoken to other with this issue and know a way around the problem. Until then maybe someone else with this problem will see my post and be able to help me.

My only solution was to uninstall service pack 2. But be warned the microsoft method of uninstalling service pack 2 does not work you get all sorts of errors and problems witht eh system so I had to reinstall the whole system and leave service pack 2 off. This has fixed the problems with installing programs. Therefore I would have to say service pack 2 is the problem despite being told by heaps of techs and nokia reps that it is not possible sp2 is the problem.

Yes, i know that, I tried this some months ago, so I also reinstalled windows after that.
I hope, that i'll find the solution without uninstalling SP2.
