only on the compute with which it was sold. Since the aborted upgrade apparently corrupted the existing XP Home installation you will have to do a clean install of XP Home. Instructions for this are

that s not true. Seach point s are not legal.
U have the right to install ur Windows of every Computer u like, but just of one Coputer per lisence.
The law says that isn t legal from a Computer faktory to say that the Os only can use on this system, so this point is agains the law and u can just forget this point from the contract.
If Dell has a problem with that its the problem from Dell and not yours ;)
You can do a clean install of Windows XP Pro using an upgrade CD as long as you have a qualifying operating system to upgrade from (which, with XP Home, you do).

So if if would like to upgrade to window XP pro, I have to buy a full version of window XP pro or only the upgrade cd would be OK?
