Windows 2000 Upgrade Problem
I am trying to upgrade NT 4.0 to Windows 2000. When I run the windows 2000 update, it says the Dell Perc2 Radi Controller driver is not compatible. I have downloaded the new drivers, but I do not know how to update the drivers in NT 4.0. How is this accomplished?
thanks.
thanks.

Even though u have an upgrade CD you do not have to do an upgrade installation [in fact I would say steer clear of this method]
Just start from Scratch
During your process of installation it will ask you to put your NT CD in for a minute to ensure that you have the previous operating system and its eligible to be upgraded.
Refer to these posts for details
NOTE:The following methods will clear all data on your HDD irretrievable by conventional methods
ReFormatting with Clean Install
Fdisk and Optional Debug Details
So even though u will have to back up ur data on another system [network] it is worth the extra time spent as you can be sure that any new problems that might arise is not related to NT 4.0
Now if you choose otherwise then to address your question directly, I would uninstall the Raid controller and then install 2K and then download respective drivers, also make sure that the Raid Controller falls under the Microsoft HCL
