Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 pro issue

FYI, Like me if you used Windows Vista drivers for certain hardware in Dell PC's running Windows 7 Pro, PC's that were made for WinXP, then the Windows 10 upgrade will fail due to "Hardware Compatibility". Windows 10 does not support Vista drivers. (sigh)

Hi Thunder Jim,

Thanks for posting.

You don't say what system you have, but it's possible you will need to upgrade in order to install Windows 10.  Here's an article from Microsoft regarding the minimum specifications needed.

It was a "in general" post. The issue I experianced was on HP system with a ATI FireGL 3400 video adaptor that no Win7 drivers were available for. The Vista drivers for hardware work fine for Win7 but not for Windows 10

Thanks ThunderJim,

Unfortunately, AMD does not offer a Windows 10 driver for this product, it's and older video card, and obviously they're not going to upgrade drivers for all their products.
