Hello all,

After buying a Dell Vostro 3360 last week,i spent some time searching and testing images of Windows 8 for a clean instaall. My system came with Windows 8, uefi bios and Windows key inside bios.

After spending some time searching i found the solution for a clean install of Windows 8 and automatic activation with your UEFI bios Windows 8 key.

You can find on the "bay" the original oem iso from dell for Windows 8 Core/Pro multilanguage. Just search for "windows 8 dell" and search the results (pandy90)

With this iso you can install windows 8 in any language and it will detect the license on your uefi bios (Core or Pro). After install it will be activated with your windows 8 key from the bios. This iso is clean and doesnt have any aditional dell applications or drivers so it is advisable you download the drivers from dell support for your model and os (windows 8).

Enjoy a clean system.

I also spent some time but instead to clean install Windows 8.1 on a Dell System that came with Windows 8.0. I don't know why Microsoft made it so hard to clean install a free update.

Here are the workarounds:

Of course you need to find the Windows 8.1 installation media.

The Windows 8.1 Core/Pro Media is also available for download over the net. Just Google it and you will find. With the Windows 8.1 iso that i have it detects the uefi key/license of Windows 8 and automaticaly installs and activates.
