Windows 8 touch screen behaving weird

Hi All,

So I just recently bought this Dell machine. The problem is with Windows 8. So while I am working, suddenly the screen goes berserk, e.g. mouse starts moving on its own, screen size starts changing, windows get minimized,  fonts start changing, etc.

Right now the only temporary solution I have is to put it into sleep mode and then put it on again. And this happens randomly and multiple times daily.

It's not a virus issue, system's new. Has anyone faced any issues like this? I think it's something to do with touch screen sensitivity.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Regards,

KB.

Hi ketanbenegal,

May I know the system model?

Does it happen while using any particular application?

Check if the issue persists in Safemode with networking.

First of all, Thanks for responding Rajesh!

The model is Inspiron 5523. No it doesn't happen with any particular app, it's a random behavior, e.g. today it didn't happen at all. So trying it in Safemode won't help, because I don't know when the issue will again happen.

Is it possible that it may be happening due to touch screen sensitivity. A guy had made a passing remark about at a client place, that he faced the same issue. I have no way of contacting that person too.

Thanks,

Ketan
