Windows 98se Reinstallation CD availability

Question

I have a Dimension desktop that is 3-4 yrs. old running Windows 98 2nd Ed. I recently eliminated some spyware (Virtual Bouncer / CasProg) from my system by erasing files/directories at DOS prompt level. Since then my system functions OK -except that it always stalls when shutting down - and is VERY slow to open the 'Control Panel'. I'm told that I may have lost some files & should use the Win98 SE Reinstallation CD - but no longer can find mine. Is this CD still available, and is this the solution to my problem(s). (Note: I DO NOT want to upgrade to more recent ver. of Windows at this time.)

Well, a reinstall would fix it, but if you dont have a CD, you are rather out of luck unles you find one, borrow one, or buy one, as Dell won't provide it. And you really should upgrade to XP :).
