Windows 'Bonk' (error) Noise Intermittant...

Question

Hearing the Windows 'error' noise a few times a day, for no apparent reason - not doing anything on the computer - just sittin' there - and then, 'bonk'... :-)

Any thoughts on why this might be happening... ?

Have looked at Event Viewer, but don't see anything suspicious...

XPS410 / Windows VISTA Home Premium / Office Pro / 4GB RAM

Thanks - no IM stuff - and still can't figure out why something would start making noise for no apparent reason...   Will keep checking the logs...
