Windows error message "no disk"

I recently re-installed WinXL on my Dell E510 computer. The Dell tech directed the re- installation of my operating system. And when it was over my main drive was named I: . One of the secondary slots for a memory card is named C:. When I try to open certain programs I get a Windows - No Disk error message. It reads: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive." After clicking on either Yes, No, or Continue, several times it goes away. Meanwhile the program has appeared behind the error message box. Anyone have any idea how to trouble shoot this issue to get rid of this false message?? It is a pain. Thanks. Barbara

Barbara, you may have to do the re-installation all over again.  First try this:
Go to Start->Control Panel->Performance and Maintenance->Administrative Tools->Computer Management; Under storage click Disk Management.  Right click on the drive or possibly the memory slot to change the drive letter.
This may not work because Windows will not allow you to change the boot letter.

If the computer is still under warranty call the Dell tech and have them walk you through the installation.

Hello Barbara :smileyhappy:

You should be able to change the drive letter for the memory card
Make sure the card is inserted
Log on to the computer with an Administrator Account
Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
Click Disk Management.
Right-click the card that you want to change, and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths.
Click the memory card, click it, click Change, click the drive letter that you want to use, and then click OK.
