Windows error message
Hi: My question is about an error message I receive after downloading software. I am running Windows XP Home, I recently had to format and reinstall my operating system. I had major problems trying to download MSN from my ISP, I was finally able to get the software installed. I cannot download the MSN VirusScan or MSN Firewall or Webroot SpySweeper so I purchased McAfee's Security Suite 2007 and installed it, I have tried to download Lavasoft Ad-Aware but after saving to my desktop and trying to install I get the following error message: C:\Documents and Setting\Gilbert Colomy\Desktop\MyDownloads\aawsepersonal.exe, is not a valid Win32 application. Is this being caused by my McAfee or is Windows not accepting the software program? In the past I've been able to download all MSN software and Ad-Aware Spyware, but now that I have formatted and reinstalled the system I can no longer download software. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a solution? Thanks for any assist Gilbert

First unistall the program.
To empty the Temp folder and the Temporary Internet Files folder, use the Disk Cleanup tool. To do this, follow these steps:
2. Click C: (or whatever drive on which Windows is installed), and then click OK.
3. Click to select the Temporary files check box.
4. Click OK, and then click Yes to confirm the deletion.
