windows install server not responding error
I have a new Inspirion 6000, when I tried to install a downloaded file (Java 1.5 update) the windows installer froze for more than 20 minutes - then the "install server not responding message" appeared. I would appreciate any help - I have not been able to get any help except from Microsoft giving me 10 things to try - which did not work and them saying it is probably from corrupt Windows installer files. Thank you for any help.
