Windows Installer runs when opening MS Apps and security
I need some help. When I open Internet explorer, MS Office apps, or the Trend Micro dashboard the windows installer window comes up (Says "preparing to install"). The installer window will stay up for 2-3 minutes and then go away (time out?) and the app will open and run normally. When IE is up it will happen whenever I open up a new tab. All other apps are working normally. Have scanned with Ad-Watch, Spybot, and Trend Micro with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you determine exactly what software it is trying to install?

It doesn't say what it is trying to install within the installer window. It just says "preparing to install". If I use the task manager to shut it down I will get a message that I have chosen to end the unresponsive program. It then gives me the option of sending an error report. The error report details are below:

Strange indeed.
The only thing I can suggest is to run windows System File Checker
http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html
