Windows ME & The Registry Question

I was wondering if I can make a backup copy of my current Windows ME Registry and put it on a CD-ROM and not store it on the HD.

                                                               Thanks............

BrickYard,

Backing up just the regtistry is not always a solution for anything.  Can you tell us specifically how you plan to use it.  There may be better options for you.

Dell-MichaelC,

I was thinking that should I delete something in the registry by error I would have a copy of it to put back........Thanks   B.Y.

BrickYard,

The best place I found for information on doing that is from Microsoft themselves.  Go to http://www.microsoft.com and do a search on "scanreg restore" for Windows ME.  There are articles for doing just that.

Just be careful when you start making registry changes.

B.Y.,

A backup of the registry is made each time you bootup. You can also create a new backup any time you want.
