Windows Media Center Problem

Question

My Media Center will open, but then freezes whether I click on My Music or any other section.   Any suggections on how to fix?

Click Start | Run and then type in 'sfc /scannow' (NO quotes and note the space between c and /) and press enter See what happens - Windows might want you to insert your CD, so have it to hand.

This also happened to my XP MCE 2005 a few weeks ago.

I used System Restore to go back 2 days ... and all was well again.

If this has just happened, you could try it. ... you might be lucky like me.

Did this problem coincide with the latest Windows updates being downloaded ?
