Windows Media Player 10 - Interface Not Registered
I have the Window Media PLayer 10 from Dell (got laptop in May), and got the Microsoft WMP update on July 13. I am unable to burn a CD, and get the message "Interface Not Registered". As a test case, I did a single rip from an audio CD of mine, and then tried to burn it to a new /blank music CD.... Interface Not Registered appears...
Can some one help? I tried to remove/then reinstall the Microsoft WMP 10, but on attempting the installation, I get message that newer version is already registered...
Thanks for any help...
Bill

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
Depending on the flavor of XP (MCE?) you are using, the following might help. That "newer version of WMP10 is already installed" might be due to updates to WMP10 you have installed. Try removing any and all updates in Add or Remove Programs that mention WMP10, reboot, and then try to reinstall it.
