Windows message: Media Center has stopped working
Does anyone know what to do? I have tried all of the things that I can find on the internet. It work a few weeks ago. Now when I start the Media Center from my start menu, it immediately says "Media Center has stopped working" and gives me a Close Program button.
I replaced the ehiextcom.dll. I updated my BIOS. I removed the cable for the cable TV and tried it on the TV and I get channels so I put it back on the back of the computer (DELL XPS using Vista Home Preium). The only thing that has been installed recently are updates from MicroSoft. Nothing I have tried seems to work. Please, please help.
Thanks!

Any luck? I have a brand new Dell 630 with Vista 64. My USB TV card was working perfectly and then I had the same error start along with others about the same time. sometimes I get your message, sometimes it's "weak video signal", sometimes it looks like a bios msg that says can't find settings. I can always clear mine by rebooting but I only get 45 minutes of live tv and it dies again. Mine also introduced incomplete sound support simultaneously. I don't get some program sounds and the surround 5.1 test doesn't produce sounds on any of the surond speakers even though audio is coming out just fine. Very selective! Just when I think I have a solution I miss the end of another show. I'm not having any luck finding solutions on the web either.
