Windows RT is brand new Operating system and it is different from Windows XP, windows 7 and Windows 8 pro. You can run only windows RT designed Apps whose you can download from windows Store. Sorry but it is trueknow difference between windows rt and windows 8 probefore buying tablet .
Thanks for the follow-up. I have had a decent amount of experience with computer software and operating systems to recognize something that simply is not user friendly. If someone like me cannot figure out RT and Windows8 then you and Microsoft are going to lose on this latest "innovation." I forwarded your email to my husband. I would buy the XPS 10 in a New York minute if it came with Windows 7 and not the RT os and is in the same price range.
XPS 10 tablet was tested and launched with Windows RT operating system; I would definitely let you know if there are options when this tablet will be compatible with Windows 7 operating system.
