Windows Update WinOS-XP Pro

Question

for the last 2 days I have been getting notifications to install the following: Critical Update for Windows Live Toolbar 3.01 (KB926295)   * I have accepted the install many of times. But I still get the message (the windows yellow shield in the task bar) over and over to install it again. After I accept I get this message:   Initializing installation... done! Installing Critical Update for Windows Live Toolbar 3.01 (KB926295) (update 1 of 1)...   then I get the message saying the install was successful, But I again get the Yellow Shield in the task bar, asking me to install this file again.   ======================================   ** Just now I went into Windows Update searched for available updates, and again I was told to install this same file again.... I did, and got this message after all was done:   Review Your Installation Results The software upgrade is complete You can now use the website to find and install the latest updates for your computer. Continue More high-priority updates are available Your computer might be at risk until you install them. Check for the remaining updates and install them now. Restart now to finish installing updates Your computer will not be up to date until you restart it. Please save any open files, photos or documents and restart now. Installation Summary    Successful: 1    Failed: 0    Remaining: 0 Successful Updates Microsoft Windows Live Toolbar Critical Update for Windows Live Toolbar 3.01 (KB926295)   =========================================   *** But that did not stop the messages coming :robotsad: I have been using Microsoft/Windows Update site ever since it was launched, and have never encountered this before :smileymad: just accept, install and done! what gives, anyone has any ideas?????????? solutions??? suggestions???   Oh, one more thing, I have done a few restarts, and deleted (a cleanup) all unnecessary files using windows Disk Cleanup... still I am getting the message to install the update. Do you have windows live toolbar installed? If not go to add/remove and uninstall the update.If you do have the tool bar you may want to uninstall the update and reinstall.This may fix your problem.
