That really is weird, isn't it? Well, my Add/Remove feature says they are all installed, so I'm not going to worry about it. No telling why it doesn't read correctly on the "Update History" screen. Maybe the site was experiencing a problem the day I did it and it will never recapture the info on subsequent sytstem scans when I go to the site.
Denny,
Can you please provide KB numbers for all 7 updates you installed on Aug 9th? My system is showing that only 6 were installed on that date. The 6 are the same numbers listed by buttoni in her post. Curious that she only listed 6 too.
I think I may know why the numbers aren't on the "Review Updae History" listing on Windows Update website now. As I think back on events, I read the August MS Security bulletin and went to Windows Update Site and it scanned and told me what I needed and installed the Cumulative Security Update KB896727 only. Not knowing there were others, I left the site and went about my business.
Then a day of two later I saw on dozleng.com Calendar of Updates that there were six others! Went back to Windows Update site and scan of my system showed there were "No Updates Available" for me. Not believing this, I went back to Calendar of Updates and used their links to download the rest of them. They all downloaded successfully for me.
Since I wasn't actually getting them off the WinUpdate site, it may never "recognize" I have them and add them to the "Review Update History" list. Not a GOOD thing, as far as I'm concerned. Posted this on a Windows Newsgroup Forum for their moderators to look into it further. Seems like the scan of my system at WinUpdate should be taking note of what I have installed no matter what Microsoft download site I got them from and adding them to the history listing!!!
Thanks Denny. It appears the one for the Malicious Software Removal Tool didn't get installed though I'm pretty sure 7 updates downloaded. Wonder if this is a common problem since buttoni apparently doesn't see it either.
I just double checked and the Calendar of Updates link I used takes you to MicrosoftTechnet download site for the 5 other ones I installed. The CoU link takes you to Microsoft Download site for the MSRTool. I just did that install again and noted it is KB890830, at the end it scanned my machine, told me I had no infection. But when I look at Add/Remove programs, KB890830 is NOT THERE! Went to WebCleaner.dll in c:\ (the MSRTool) and right click it and properties show accessed Aug 15, 1:30. So I think the update really took place a few minutes ago.
This is all really wierd! I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I think I'm all updated.

Thanks for your help, anyway.

Yes, Denny
I also installed the Malicious SW Removal Tool update. Just didn't see the number for it in my Add/Remove Programs.
