Windows Vista Does Not Support Internal NIC Configuration

Question

Windows Vista recently intalled a few updates on my Inspiron 5160 laptop.  Since the updates were downloaded and installed I recieved a Windows Vista Problem Reports and Solutions error message stating 'Windows Vista does not support Internal NIC Configuration'.  The problem is caused by Windows, according to the report.  They suggesting that I contact Dell Inc. for support.  'This problem was caused by a compatibility issue between this version of Windows (vista) and this version of Internal NIC Configuration. Thanks for your prompt reply! The download worked, no longer get the error message that I was getting. I do have a question if someone can answer: When I go to the control panel and double clic on the Interal NIC Configuration, I do get the pop-up asking me if I want to run the program, reply yes, but I never see anything happen. Should something happen when I double click on the icon?

On my Dell D610 laptop with Vista, QuickSet refused to install. QuickSet might not be compatible with your system so you might be stuck here.
