Windows XP error copying my docs to DVD

I am trying to copy My Documents to a blank DVD by dragging the MY Docs icon over to the DVD icon (in My Computer). It starts to copy then I get a windows msg saying 'Windows encountered an error copying..' It does not state what the error is or how to combat it. I have managed to save my Itunes so the DVD/Writer must be working OK. Anybody any ideas.

Cheers

XP does not have native DVD burning capability . . you must use a third party application ( like iTunes, nero, Roxio . .  )

Instead of copying the folder, open the folder and select the individual files and copy those. Skip any Read only, thumbnail, other folders or other system files in the folder. You can select files in a group by using Shift + select or individual files using Control + select.
