Windows XP Home vs XP Pro

Is there much difference between XP and XP Pro for Home use

yo,

For most home users, Windows XP Home is good enough. Really, the only difference between the two is the fact that Pro is centered towards buisiness use such as word processing where Home is made for home use such as music and videos. I must add that WinXP Home is really just a dumbed down version of Pro, but the cost will probably make up for the features it doesnt have.

Still yet another big difference is that XP Pro, is geared more for networking too. There are more options geared for that, and it also has Wi-Fi options as well.

Actually, Home has all the WiFi options Pro does....basically what Pro adds is the ability to logon to a Windows NT or 2000 domain.

If I wanted to acquire XP Pro OS and install on the Inspiron 5150 that has XP home now, do I need to do a fresh load? Or can I install it over the home version? Has anyone tried upgrading from XP Home to the XP Pro?
