Question

Ok so here is the deal, someone messed with my computer and now I have a problem with Windows XP, they tired to reinstall the software using the disk that came with the computer however I don't think that it worked because it won't let me connect to the internet at all, like it is not recognizing the ethernet cord even though the day before it did. Please help!!!!

Did you first try reinstalling the drivers for your ethernet card and see if that helped? Is this an aftermarket card? What type of PC is this for?

Yes I have tried to reinstall the ethernet cord and it is still not recognized, I have and Inspiron 1200, I just don't know if I need to get new software or if I can reinstall the one I have somehow?
