Windows XP SP2 IE6 will not perform or display javascript functions or certain objects
I'm having the following difficulties:
- Javascript options or links will not open
- windowsupdate.microsoft.com and other websites will not open
- Help and Support portion of XP will not open
- Unable to access the User Accounts option under control panel
- Various websites will not display properly - missing graphics and different fonts are displayed
- Unable to start the System Restore program
The list goes on. As you can see from the list above, I've been dealing with this for a few weeks and have exhausted all possible options in avoidance of reloading xp sp2 (for which I can't even download the reload program :smileysad:)
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken

if your getting error message for the java try downloading the s/w from the web site mentioned below
http://www.java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp

Hi Blackhat,
Thank you for your advice. I downloaded the software for windows from the link that you provided, and restarted my browser. Downloading this software did not fix the problems. Any other suggestions?
