Windows XP stuck in restart loop

Question

Dimension 4500; everything was rocking along good but all of a sudden my system began to restart and continued to do that. I have Mcaffee security from comcast. I looked in event viewer and saw a DCOM error and I disabled DCOM. The comuter will boot up and run and I did a scan an it showed no viruses. Here are the issues: 1) Mcafee will not start 2) Musicmatch will not start 3) If I try to view streaming video it will start the restart loop again 4) I get a black DOS screen repeating for about 3 or 4 seconds and then it goes away. The black DOS screen has a file of Windows\system 32\ wauclt.exe   Is this a virus or worm and what can I do?

You might want to run some scans to rule out any infection(s). There's a worm with that name, I believe...... Particularly where you can't run McAfee.... that might be that worm not letting it run.   Google will reveal quite a bit on it.
