If you "changed the system's hard drive" how did you get the OS back on?  Using Acronis True Image or some other "ghost" Program?

If you used Acronis, you should have backed up all the partitions on the old hard drive including the Dell recovery partiton (which allows reinstalling without any discs).

If you did use a ghost type program, you could try reinstalling from the ghost image again (but that will erase any users data that you have entered since the install of the new hard drive.

If you are in the US, Dell will provide one replacement set of discs to the registered owner.  That would give you the needed XP disc so your could run Windows XP Repair.  HERE is the link to the form.  If you are not in the US, there are similar procedures for most other countries.

I am in the US.

Actually, when I replaced the hard, I did request a Reinstallation DVD (Recovery CD by contacting DELL); that's how I got the OS back.

I am still getting the same message "System32\drivers\ntfs.sys" at boot-up.

Can someoe help or make suggestions.

Thank you.
