winrar

I need to open .rar files. Do I need to download and install Winrar or is there another way. Does anyone have experience with Winrar.

WinRar will open a file with a RAR extension.
 
Depending on what version of WinZip you use, if you do, you can open a RAR file with that too.
 
I like WinRar.  It has a better compression algorithm than WinZip but it is not as widely accepted as WinZip.

I love my Dell Dimension E310
XP Media Center

I use Izarc. Freeware, handles .rar and most other compression formats.
Been using it for years, it's clean.
