Wireless Networking

My Inspiron 600m laptop running XP Professional can access the internet throught the wireless network but it cannot find the shared printer and folders on my desktop running XP Home. The desktop can see the shared folders on the laptop running professional. The firewalls are turned off and file and printer sharing are set for sharing.. Any Ideas??

Are you absolutely 100% sure that all firewalls have been disabled or properly configured to allow local network access.  Many people don't realize that Windows has its own built in firewall and many Symanetec (Norton) and McAfee products also have firewalls.

Pretty sure the XP firewalls are turned off. I am using Zonelabs Zone Alarm and have added the Linksys IP range to the trusted zones. No McAfee or Norton Firewalls on systems.

"Pretty sure" doesn't cut it.  You need to be absolutely 100% sure.  If in doubt, disable or remove all possible firewalls until you get it to work.

Given that you cannot get into the other machine, it's probably the firewall on it, not on yours.  The XP firewall is a good guess.
