I'm sorry...i clicked Enter when i meant to click backspace (poor lighting :))

I did a restore point (xp home) so if afterwards i can still get on i can rollback....
But if i delete duplicate sys files will that totally mess up my puter? (i'm trying to free some disk space so i can watch videos straight from NetFlix :))
If I Don't go into sys files with dupe program does anyone know (just gen knowledge and/or experience) and delete selected files (ones i can be sure are Not sys files) will that be ok? (uploaded/downloaded user programs)
I'm also still working on my Win32 prob. Haven't heard from Dell yet about dupe OS disks so am not having any luck.
Thank You

can you explain exactly what you mean by "system files"?

generally it's best to only delete data files manually.  uninstall a program via control panel if you want to remove application files.

as for true system files (those in the system or system32 directory), i would leave them alone.  i doubt they take up that much space anyway.

system restore is a very unreliable tool.  sometimes it works ..  sometimes the restore points fail.  i would consider a real backup program like ghost or true image if you really want to play around :D

I don't suggest doing that, system files are stored in backup places for repairs.

Add a second hard drive for more space, or an external usb drive.
