WJVIEW ERROR

Hey fellas.  I hope someone can help me.  When I log on to my user name on XP, it gives me the following error:

WJVIEW ERROR:

Cannot contact the Main: unable to locate the specified path.

I researched a bit and I think it has something to do with java but I'm not sure.  Any help is appreciated.  The error doesn't seem to disrupt any of my normal operations though as I can still connect to the internet and access all of my software but I don't want the message popping up.  I checked administrative tools and there is no record of the error either.which is weird.

Anyway, thanks all.

The Windows Java Viewer, "wjview.exe", may be trying to start a Java application that no longer exists. Please see this article from ntfaq.com which explains how to remove the startup entry.

I'd suggest also checking with the Microsoft Windows Update site for critical updates and your virus software vendor to be sure your machine is protected from the worms and viruses currently circulating on the Internet.

Gentlemen, I am having this same problem and looked at the article you recommended. Could you please explain "Start Misconfig." I'm not sure what that means. Thanks for your help, Jock

click start, run, type msconfig, press enter or click OK. That starts the MS configuration.
