WLTRYSVC.EXE process using 99% cpu power. How to fix?

Dell inspiron 8600 laptop. 1.4 Pentium M.  I know that WLTRYSVC.EXE is a process connected with  Broadcom's wireless  network tray applet. This process is  running constantly and uses 94-99% of my cpu power. Causes great time  delalys & lots  of problems with booting  up & connecting to the internet.  If I stop the process  at "just the right place" I  can connect but it  may cause other problems. Causes problems with tray icons,  etc. Other repair/diagnistic programs which I  have  run don't  even think there  is a  problem.

I assume program code is likely  missing  or  corrupted. Diagnostic part  of Dell's "diagnostic & utilities" Drivers & Utilities  & Applications disk will only  boot up to   "mouse.xxx" (with the xxx being something I  don't recall) so it is not useful. How do I  fix WLTRYSVC.EXE or whatever  program it is a part  of so that it will operately properly?

HotelJack, See if the info here helps. You could also do a Google search for "WLTRYSVC.EXE" for other hints/suggestions.

I  had Googled the WLTRYSVC.EXE process. I found what it is but not how  to fix it. I  installed and ran the Uni-Blue program  which the Kid pointed me  to but when I ran it, the problem was  not fixed and as far as I could tell, it did  not find a problem. I am  still looking  for  a workable  solution.
