WMS Idle Not responsing

Hi - just had a new motherboard put into my inspiron 5150 - since then I am getting the message    WMS Idle not responding   when I attempt to shutdown the computer.  Sometimes  I will also receive a message telling me that outlook.exe is not responding.   I do not use outlook at all - ever!  Shutdown takes forever.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

Although you do not use Outlook, if you've done an installation of MS Office, it was probably installed on your system. Run Office Setup again and uninstall just Outlook. That should fix the "WMS Idle not responding" issue as well.

I have the same problem. WMS idle not responding... when I try to shut down. My outlook also will not open the two problems are linked. I eventually had to uninstall outlook and lost two months worth of email... I reinstalled and the same thing.

I ran all of Dells Dignostics and all passed.

I then uninstalled all of Office 2003 and made sure all Outlook pst... files no longer existed and then shut down. Booted up ran updates... Scanned for viruses twice... Shut down all is good... Then reinstalled all Office 2003 again. Same problems. The tried updating Office 2003. Same problem... PLEASE HELP!!!

I even tried things that include repairing files with outlook...
