won't startup: missing/corrupt system32\l_intl.nls
Hello,
Using a Dimension 8250 Desktop. Turned on computer, after the Black Dell screen, this came on:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\System32\l_intl.nls You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows set up using the original set up cd-rom. Select (alittle) r at the first screen to start.
I tried this, and it didn't work.
It looks like I will have to erase the hard drive and re-install the system....or, maybe it's finally time to get a new computer...this one is 4 or 5 years old.
Any suggestions about repairing the file/starting up the computer would be very welcome.
Thanks,
Laura

Try starting in safe mode, put your Win CD in the drive, and then the Start button » Run » and type in Sfc /scannow (note the space). Sfc should find that file.
