What type of document are you trying to open? If I'm remembering correctly, Wordpad can only read text and rich text format files. If you're trying to open anything else, like a Word document, it will just look like giberish.
If you want a free Office suite that will read Word documents (pretty well, won't format 100% the same), try http://openoffice.org

So either way it always opens in wordpad and look gibberish. Can I somehow get it off my computer? If not how di I fix it??????
And I do have adobe reader but this computer won't let me save Anything to reader.

No I don't know what format they are in. And office suit installed either. Everything was working fine I was able to open documents and then all of a sudden the gibberish started. And nothing has changed either. Here is a sample of what a
page looks like when I open it. Thanks again

Do you know what format they're in?
Do you have an office suit installed on your system, such as Openoffice.org or Microsoft Office?

You need to start by finding out what format these files are in, so you know what program to use to open them.
From that line in there that says "PrintMaster Gold Document" I'd assume that's the program that created them. Do you have that program on your computer?
Verify what program created the files you're trying to open, and if it is this PrintMaster, you'd need to buy a copy or find something else that can read them (if there is any other program that will read them).
