X64 capable
I support a company that has 25 Optiplex GX280 systems. They recently received an upgrade on the software they use and it REQUIRES Windows XP or Vista X64 to run. I have looked and can find no information on whether the GX280 is X64 capable or not. I know they have a bunch of Dell XP Pro X64 CDs that "supposedly" came with these systems. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry Hearold

Heres what you do, restart the computer, and when you see the F2 and F12 on the upper right hand corner of the screen , press on the F2. This will take you to the system setup. Now don't worry you don't have to modify anything. Using your down arrow click down to processor info, you will see a category that says 64-bit technology and right next to it, it would either say no or yes. If it says yes it would say underneath it EM64T which stand for Extended Memory 64 Technology. Hope this Helps.
