XP boot up crash - uninstall Intel Application Accelerator

I've been struggling for probably over a year now trying to troubleshoot
a blue screen of death at bootup on my 8200 with Windows XP
and finally found a reference to the IdeChnDr.sys file (storage driver)
in the Intel Application Accelerator

The solution is to simply remove the Intel Application Accelerator
with the "remove program" feature  in the Control panel

this program is not necessary for Windows XP

I had the same problem with random BSODs with the IdeChnDr.sys reference - in the end I too uninstalled and since then no BSODs.

earlier error messages from Microsoft indicated a storage

device conflict, then an Intel storage device

driver confict but it was only a day ago that my computer

would not wake up from standby mode and when I rebooted

a Windows message indicated a "serious error" and mentioned the

specific Intel Application Accelerator driver file name

IdeChnDr.sys and

I was able to get suggestions by entering it in google.
