Xp Pro and dimension 9100
Hello, my dell dimension 9100 didn't work so i must format the c:/ with the ultimate cd boot and maxtor drivers. My computer is now format but when i boot on the cd of windows xp pro (that dell gave me with my order) it works until the Welcome message of Windows with choices: enter to install, F3 to exit, ... I have tryied with the dell keyboard (usb) and with another keyboard (usb)and the keyboard shutdown when this message appears on the screen. So i can't process to the install. I need help to install xp. Thanks you.

Try a different USB port. Only one of the USB ports on the back of the computer tower is active before Windows loads.

Or,
If your Dimension came with Dell PC Restore Partition (available on Dimension and Inspiron systems that shipped on or after 7/16/2004 in the Americas and 8/30/2004 in Europe) , try to fix the Dell MBR (info here) and then use the Dell PC Restore Utility (info here) to restore your system to "as-shipped" configuration.
