XP Pro slow logon into a Domain

Just got some Optiplex machines with XP Pro preinstalled and found that when login into a Domain NT4 Server it takes 10 minuts to start the session.
If login as a workgroup and using the netware client it works fine, so seems that the problem is part of the DOMAIN connection.
The Win2k clients are working with that server with out any problem.

Has anyone get the same problem? and did you solve it?

No. I just configured the network as a Workgroup and it worked fine.
Seems to be something about the DNS but didn't find what was.

Just a note.

Try another network card. For some reason the internal cards do this. A USB to ethernet will work as a good test.

I removed all of the networking before I setup my domain user on the workstation. I went to intel.com and got the newest driver and reinstalled the networking using a driver from 8/2004. I did not install the QOS in networking.  I used the wizzard and setup my domain user. It took a long time to marry this workstaton to the domain 10 min. After I finished the user install on the domain I rebooted. It took about 4 min to get the desktop on the first boot. I rebooted again and it took about 1 min. I rebooted 4 more times and it took 10 seconds to connect to the domain. It takes 10 seconds every time now.
