Its time to upgrade to Windows 8.1 which includes Internet Explorer 11.
I recommend clean installation for more details see Windows Reinstallation Guide/A Clean Install of Windows 8.1:
http://philipyip.wordpress.com/dell-community-forums/
However this requires you to procure a Windows 8 Reinstallation DVD from Dell. If you are a US or CA customer with active warranty fill in this form here to get one:
www.dell.com/recoverymedia
If you are not from US or CA then you need to call Dell Technical Support to procure one.
An alternative solution is to restore to factory settings and remove mcAfee aswell as the Video and Audio drivers then get the update from the Microsoft Store. See here for details:
http://philipyip.wordpress.com/download-microsoft-windows/upgrading-to-windows-8-1-from-windows-8-0-via-the-microsoft-store/
Once Windows 8.1 is installed, install the more up to date drivers from here:
http://ftp.dell.com/published/Pages/xps-8500.html
The Windows 8.1 drivers are denoted as "WB64A".

If there is too much browser data stored, it could lead to slow videos buffering. To settle the issue, you should delete cache and cookies in your particular browser. If the flash player can't work well, it will affect the normal video viewing. Fix the issue if the flash player has something wrong. by TweakDoor
Solution: On your computer, reload or restart your Internet browser. Check your Internet speed. ... Update your browser to the latest version. For non-Chrome browsers, try lowering your video resolution. Restart your device.
YouTube playback may need to buffer more often if your computer, phone, or tablet is doing too much. Once all apps are closed, re-open YouTube (either the mobile app or in your web browser) and give it another try. If you're watching YouTube videos in a web browser, try closing excess open browser tabs.
