Zip

This may be a silly question but I don't know where else to ask this.  Here goes, bare with me, my zip drive is disconnected in my PC to allow me to have another hard drive installed so now I have an external zip drive to replace that zip drive.  My problem is that I have a zip disk still in the drive and am unable to get it out of there because it is no longer available.  Is there any way I can get this zip disk to come out or is it okay to leave it in there?  Just didn't want this to hurt my PC so that's why I'm asking.  Thank you.

The easiest way to deal with this is to open up your computer, reconnect the four-pin power connector to the zip drive (you don't need to connect the IDE cable), pop it out, then pull the plug back out. I believe as long as the drive has power, the eject function will work.

Hi CDLOUS4,

I am assuming you have a100 or 250 internal drive. There should be a emergency eject hole in front or back of Drive, that you insert a staighted paper clip to eject disc. Do a search at Iomega Support enter your drive model, and type in Removing Disc. This is a example.    http://tinyurl.com/5e2gk

Thank you Osprey.  I did it and it's out now.
