Mozilla Firefox Connect Options - url character limit

Is there a known character limit when using the URL= option? I have a long link that is greater than 128 characters. When I enter the entire link in the URL=option, then open Firefox, it defaults to the www.wyse.com website. If I drop the characters to less than 128 and open Firefox then it actually tries to get to the site but fails with an expected error.

I ended up resolving this using TinyURL.com, but just want to confirm that it's an issue or limitation.
