help on helpdesk style remote desktop

help on helpdesk style remote desktop

hi there, I'm looking for some advice on how to remote into a computer but not kick them out of the session as they do in help desk type roles. I have hacked win 7 to allow multiple sessions so if i log in the user doesnt notice but I have to log in to a different account. Im looking to join the current users session so they see me moving the mouse around. I presume it will be a feature in windows somewhere (using win7 64) any advice would be great.

You can do this by installing VNC on the machines you want to connect to. We have tested PocketCloud with TightVNC. IF you are using Auto Discovery please enable "Loopback Connections" on the VNC server. You can do that on TightVNC by:
1) Open "Configuration"
2) Go To "Access Control"
3) Select "Allow loopback connections"

Not to bring up an old post but I have advance knowledge in the area. What you need to do is login under a different account other then the one client is using and using task manager I believe there is a 'users' tab. If you go under that tab you should be able to right click the clients username or 'session' and select 'remote control'. Hope this helps!
